Просмотр полной версии : [BUG THREAD][3.52 M33-4] Report for errors and bugs in M33 firmware.
The infrastructure (online multiplayer) mode of Socom FTB2 for PSP (US version) now requires a new patch to play. The patch is version 1.30, and is a file saved on your memory stick. After the new 1.30 patch was released, all of the No-UMD drivers don't work correctly. The game freezes about 25% of the time when the new patch automatically saves your CE.
The game never freezes when I use a umd, but it does freeze when using an iso. And the iso I tested was the full one, it had nothing deleted from it.
So can the M33 team try to fix this in their own no-umd driver?
Thanks.

just use a umd, plain and simple
Killzone's update that includes the infrastructure and chapter 5 pack seems to have problems when using "Sony's Loader No UMD" on 3.52 M33-2. it causes the game to crash when coming back from standby mode but is working FINE unpatched.
the standby issue goes away when u choose "OE isofs legacy" under no-umd mode.
hope you can fix this.

Instead of making threads, please post the bugs, glitches or any other type of errors that are occurring in M33 firmware. Note, not all bugs will be fixed, but at least we can cut them down.
To start it off, I'm having an USB error, when I go to GAMES/MEMORY STICK on my PSP then go to USB mode, USB mode does not work. Also when it's 12:00 at night when in a game and you press "home" on your PSP the clock says 0:00 or 0:12 (How many minutes).
Not all bugs can be fixed at one time so be patient!
This thread was posted to cut down on the threads that ask for bugs/glitches to be fixed.
This is an official thread, I made this thread because I wanted to help out the English Forums.
Enjoy! ;) :)
I prefer not to use the umd because the iso uses less battery and makes no noise.
M33 Team, will you fix this in your next firmware update?

when it's 12:00 at night when in a game and you press "home" on your PSP the clock says 0:00
Ermm, 12 at night = 00:00.
That's not a bug, that's how you tell the time.

My TV tells time the same why 12:00=00:00 in military time or other, its a common thing in many electronics

lol all mobos are TA-0XX. i think you mean TA-082/86. i wouldnt know i have a TA-081. the problem might be an idstorage key issue but i dont know for sure.
another request i have is to fix the issue that doesnt allow PRX Launcher to launch kernel eboots
i've read some instances that after upgrading to 3.52 m33 (then patch update 2), wifi mac id is blank in the system settings, is this a known bug?
jeffthree

M33 - PLEASE try to FIX final fantasy!!
Final Fantasy 8 crashes - i would love to even understand WHY this came crashes during some battles - even if it couldnt be fixed until Sony increased compatability - it frustrates me that much not knowing why it crashes that i just want to know!
And also ever since i upgraded to 3.52 Fina Fantgasy IX wont load (UKPAL patched version) worked perfectly on 3.51 and now doesnt load - just loads the PSX symbol, the patch then goes black.. I even specifically downgraded back to 3.51 and it worked again - re-upgraded to 3.52 and it didnt work so deffo the FW.
If these problems were fixed i would love you forever

I've completed FFVIII on 3.52 M33-2, didn't crash for me. Perhaps you should convert it correctly and use the correct popsloader.

hey hey tell me how and i'll try it. You are the first person i have ever heard of though to say that!! Ive looked about on the net and everything says it crashes?
What is the "correct" way to convert it and what on earth is a popsloader? Is that like popstation?

If you don't know what popsloader is then you havn't read very much, and as for me being the only person to play it through, BOLLOCKS.

Thanks for the link but there is no need to be so rude. Im just asking innocent questions. And no i dont know what a popsloader is - but whatever it is i havent needed one to run any other psx game on my psp - everything else has run perfectly. And i didnt say you were the only one who had played it through - i said your the first person i had heard of. Theres a big difference.
Dont. Be. Nasty.
EDIT - and a link to google? What is your problem? Jesus Christ.
Hello everyone. I seem to be having some problems with the new 3 and 4 updates. I have been running M33 3.52-2 since day one and have had no problems at all. But since I have used the recent updates my PSP has grown some problems. Now when I turn the PSP off the green light stays on even after the screen has turned off. I have to take the battery fully out and then reinsert it to get my PSP to turn on. I have never used any custom themes or homebrew so I just don’t know what the problem is.
I have just now gone back to 1.50 and then back to M33 3.52-2 and everything work great. Any clues as to why I am having the new problem? Thank in advance for any help you can give me.

If your settings aren't being saved then go into flash1 and delete the file config.se. Alternatively, you can go into recovery menu>advanced> format flash1
When you have done that, set up your settings again.
You may need to do this a couple of times before the problem is resolved.

Ok i have found a bug in the VSHMENU, he give speed rushes and than we can't make ours settings not sou good, her the conditions to see the bug:
-make the XMB clock 100MHZ or less
-switch the mune in XMB sometimes that you can see that the clockspeed is activated (the xmb slow down a little), or wait a little that the clockseed is sur enable.
-open the the vhsmenu and you will see the problem (it's a lot more faster than befor)
A second Bug is that you can disable the sleep-mode with the clockspeed int the vshmenu, her the conditions:
-set the clockspeed in the vshmenu 266MHZ or higher
-exit vshmenu and wait, that the new clockspeed is activated
-set the clockspeed in the vshmenu 222MHZ or lower
-exit vshmenu and wait, that the new clockspeed is activated
Now you can do what you would but the sleep-mode is dead!!
Thanks Team M33!!

It's either because you changed your region or it has to be something with your flash. Try re flashing or trying a different region.

here is a bug my buddy claims he sees:
333MHz works on the XMB but only if you stay in game, if you go to photo or music then it sets the clock back to 222MHz.
something like that.
Hi. I didn't see my bug written here... hope i'm not repeating smth someone else wrote.I'm not sure of all the cases in which this bug occurs but here it is :
I'm starting a game from the MS, and as all you know, there's the PSP animation before the game starts. If you press the Home button when the animation is activated the vsh menu appears, and then the PSP gets stuck and you have to shut it off and turn it on again to pass this.

If i read all the bug from M33-3/4, the VSHMNUE have some bugs, and the most on the changing of the clockspeed.
I'm sure that M33 will bugfix all this, but they will every bring a new feature with a new update, i'm curius what it would be next time :)
Not a bug as such, more a limitation.
When I try to rip a foreign region Video UMD the psp freezes and has to be powered down.
If the PSP can tell the difference between a game umd and a movie umd, then could it be possible to temporarily trick the psp into thinking a video umd is a game disc instead?
Assuming that games are multi-region then that might bypass the region check and we would be able to rip the foreign region video disc and then play it back as an iso.

Some small things...
1- When I first installed the update 4 (skipped 3) it would not show in the game folder in the XMB... For more info the homebrew kernel was 3.52 and the folder GAME150. It was the only game in my MS at the time (no other eboots or isos in any of the 3 game folders... actually GAME150 was the only game folder). In the GAME folder it worked...
2- In the new VSH menu, "CPU CLOCK GAME" section, if the value is default and you try to change it by pressing left in the d-pad it won't do anything when it should change to 333(only happens from Default to 333). All the others seem to work fine...
I've played GTA LCS from a UMD the day i recived my PSP, and it worked smooth. I can't remember if it was the original 2.81 firmware or 3.40OE-A. After i sent back the UMD as you know, 3.40 OE-A could play the game but it needed a UMD, any UMD, which i lacked because of my CORE version. Now then the M33 CFW(woohoo) i could run the game but it runs quite jerky even with 333Mhz on the CPU :( . Do you have any clue?
Hallo at all,
I don't say if it is a bug or if is my PSp that don't work properly:
In the 3.52-4 M33 have correct the 3.52-3 vshmenu's bug on XMB USB Device(when you copy a file in flash0 having an error).
Now with 3.52-4 I can copy a file(I don't have an error) and apparently all is ok,but after a PSP's reboot the file is not working(if I simply copy it) or the file is the same(if I overwrite it)
es:I have the file called 1.prx with MD5:12345 on flash0 and I want overwrite it with the file called 1.prx with MD5:54321 on my desktop, the result is that if I check the MD5 before a PSP's reboot it is 54321 so apparently the overwriting is good, but after a PSP's reboot th MD5 of 1.prx on my flash0 is 12345!
Finally don't replaced anything.
I have check this problem in folder kd and resource(the most important),in another folder apparently all works.
Anyone have checked this problem?
I suppose that this is a problem of satelite.prx(vshmenu prx) because the transfer with recovery menu is ok and because I tryed to restore a clean M33 3.52-4,I tryed to restore windows........I tryed all! :cray:
Team M33 please correct it (if it is a bug) because this function is very useful!!!
I remember my compliments for your wonderful work!
Thanks :good:

Hello.
I installed on my PSP (1004 version) the last M33 CF, the 3.52 M33-4.
I bought a MicroSD to Memory Stick Pro Duo adapter on eBay, and I tried it (with a 1gb microsd) on the psp, but it don't work.
I tried then on my card reader/writer and in a divx with card reader player, and it worked.
Then, lastly, I tried to use it in the PSP by using the recovery menu and toggling the USB on, so finally the PSP read the adapter and it showed as a external disc on windows...
So I guess the problem is in the CF: is it possible to fix it so I can use my adapter, please?
Actually I'm trying to downgrade my psp again to original firmware 1.50, so I can totally try if it's the CF or not (but i still guess so ^_^).
Thanks in advance!
Edit update: I downgraded to 1.50 and the adapter is working! Please fix it, I need it! (and I guess many other ppl need it :P)
xg917, just set the cpu at 266, works like a charm :)
Hi,
Both the PMP_VLC and PiMP_Streamer video players seem to die PMP_VLC after 20 seconds of playing H.264 content and PiMP immediately.
Has anyone got these working on M33 3.52-4?
To be honest, I've never used a proper OS, just M33 so assume its that... forgive me if that is not the case!
Best regards
womble
If you have "Skip Sony logo" enabled in Recovery Menu then the PSP will start up with the "Memory Stick" icon highlighted.
If you have "Skip Sony logo" disabled in Recovery Menu then the PSP will start up with the "Saved Data Utility" icon highlighted.
Maybe a slight bug...does not appear to matter though.

It's Visaya, a dialect in the Philippines. Haven't tried other microSD cards yet. Maybe the problem lies in your memory stick adapter.

I just installed v3.52 m33 and now want to install the m33 update #4. Please let me know how do i install an update in the first place. what to put in which directory?
Can i directly go to update #4 or do I start with 1 through 3 and then 4?
Thanx in advance
@azharnasir
You can just use update 4. Update 4 is cumulative and has the patches from update 1, update 2 and update 3. You should put the update in /PSP/GAME150/.
Good luck

i'm a novice so please bear with me. after I unzipped the update #4 file, it shows two folders (along with other readme files). one folder says PSP and the other says some plugins. Do I put Eboot.pbp in the X:/PSP/GAME150 folder and then execute?
What do i do with the plugin folder?
Thanks again

I don't think so, because with original firmware and under the latest Devhook the adapter is working! I'll try to install 3.52 m33-4 again hoping this time it will work but i don't think it will be any difference :( Anyway I think it's a bug of this custom firmware!
Btw, do anyone knows if I can install cfw 3.60 that's for the psp slim on my normal psp?
Thanks!

Just copy the folder which contains the eboot.pbp in the folder /PSP/GAME150. Execute the update through the XMB (GAME/Memstick). Copy the folder named seplugins to the root of your memstick. The folder seplugins is used to launch add ons for the PSP, like cwcheat, nitepr, etc. These are plug ins to enhance the PSP capabilities. You can enable/disable them in the recovery menu.

I don't see any bugs from 3.52 M33-4 on my psp TA-79. I think most of the apps we use are not for M33 CFW and we say it's a bug when it's not it's the apps we use. Also I found out I didn't have any issues till I put on custom themes there again It's not M33's Bug it was the theme I was using. So before we post bug we should look at it as. Is it a real bug or the app or theme we are using................... :new_russian:
