IMPORTANT: agree with LICENSE.TXT conditions before installing the program.

Changes:

- Added more speeds: 75 and 133.
- Added flash2 and flash3 usb to recovery
- Added a setting in recovery to change the usb device to which XMB will connect.
- Added "vshmenu", which is a menu that will appear when HOME is pressed in the XMB. It will interfere with existing
XMB plugins that use HOME, so it can be disabled in recovery.
- Added umd video iso support. The umd video isos are playes using vshmenu. Video isos go in
/ISO/VIDEO folder. They require an UMD inserted because NO-UMD does not work.

Changes in popsloader:

- Support for 3.30 firmware. Instructions are same as in previous release, except 3.30
firmware did not have libpspvmc.prx, so just ignore that file.
- Warning: There is an incompatibility between 3.30 savedata and later ones. If a savedata exists from 3.40+, the emulator will freeze.

Some notes about the usage of vshmenu, and umd video isos:

- vshmenu cannot be loaded when the browser is active. If you exit the browser, the firmware will
still keep it in memory until you enter other area of xmb, until you do so, you will not be able
to access vshmenu again either.
- video isos and the game isos show in xmb use the same core. Due to this, when you enter in game
menu and there is some iso, if a video iso was currently mounted, it will automatically be unmounted.

- cso format is not supported for video isos.

- UMD audio isos are theoretically supported, but not tested. They go to /ISO/VIDEO.

- Downloaded it from ps3news.
- You are an active member of that forums's page.

psp and pc, and stop visiting that site.

THX a lot. I don 't know is that intentional or nor, but 75 i 133 clock speeds are not avalible via RM menu, only via vshmenu. I thnk, that adding "shut down psp" and "enter RM" options to vshmenu would be also great :)

You cannot write files to the flash0/flash1 from the vsh usb mode, if you try there will be a CRC error and the file you were writing will be corrupted (resulting in BRICK).

Is there anyway to fix this M33?

Flash 3 & 4 serve no purpose for you at the minute, I believe they are for holding Sony's DRM info for PSN stuff, etc.
Yes you can dump a UMD, read the readme to change the vsh USB mode to umd drive and copy off files, that simple
PSX games that have saves using the 3.40 pops, won't work on 3.30 pops modes.

UMD MODE in IRSHELL's configuration must be 'umd required' and you have to insert ur umd disc, otherwise it crashes. but when i used 3.52m33-2 there was no such a problem and 'OE NO UMD' mode worked...

is possible a situation like this? any one can tell me the right way please,,,,:dash: :dash:

In the readme.txt there is a line that sounds like they tell you what to do to fix it :O You should read that again.

About the bricks, I think they're right. They DO WARN the people on the readme about the consequences of running the file IF downloaded or uploaded by someone who has downloaded it from ps3news. They've already warned people before, on the other updates about that site. You should stick to sites that really support homebrew producers, they sure are the community.

very cool update, i think there is a bug thow. when i use the vshmenu to access flash0 or umd disk, the psp will not turn off, i use the button i use restart prx nothing. i have to take battery out and then it is ok. it makes this some times, but i had it 3 times so far. anyone else?

When you people using piracy(dont tell me about legal backups - thats bullshit) you must know what you are doing. If you are comlete noob just dont use CFW at all! Stay on official Sony's firmware and be happy.

To avoid bricks just follow these simple rules -

1. Download CFW only from trusted source - pspx, maxconsole, pspupdates, psp-hacks
2. Dont visit ps3lamers site! Its dangerous anyway.
3. Dont use faked memory stickes
4. Dont modify installer.

And thats all! Are these rules so hard for you? Then fuck off, the only responsible for your brick is you.

I know i have done the wrong thing by going to ps3lamers site and getting the update off there, but is there any way i can redeem my psp without fishing out $100 for a mod chip?

I fully regret what i did, and i promise not to go there ever again. I only went there because there was a comment, saying that the update was "there". I didn't know the official team m33 site, so i just downloaded the update from there. They must have taken out the readme and licence.txt, and so i did not know that i would get bricked. Only when i downloaded it of QJ.net, was when i realised i was bricked for going there.

Is there any sort of 'unbricker' you will realease? And once again, my full apoligies for going there.

About semi-bricked PSPs, If you can get to the recovery then just put the M33 installer in /PSP/Game/Recovery and run it, then after it makes the new dir just delete the Recovery dir then rename the new made update to Recovery and run it again.
I did it that way and it works fine. Had to reboot about 3 times to get all the Recovery dirs correct but it works.

As long as recovery works you dont have a full brick. Its when you cant get to recovery that it turns into a brick. In that case just swap the motherboard with a working one and all is good again.

I love the new XMB menu.
Being able to dump UMD's from it is awesome.

I wanted to post my small bug experiences and a few requests.

Small bugs:
When a UMD Video is mounted, sometimes when switching out a UMD game it will fail to load (wrong region code error)
This is not a big problem for me, just have to remember to dismount the video iso.

Sometimes when exiting a game the ability to put the psp into sleep mode did not work.
I use the SCEP plug-in and it failed to execute any commands, but it was still loaded.
The PSP wouldn't go into sleep mode from the power button either.
I had to cold start my PSP. (Problem with SCEP plug-in?)

Request:
Standby, Reboot and Shutdown be added to M33 XMB Menu.
No more need for SCEP!

Thanks for the new firmware M33 and well done on getting a step closer to Region Free UMD Video. Hopefully we will be able to play different region discs or at least rip them to iso soon.

I fully support your decision to protect your work in any way you choose. Anyone who is too lazy/stupid to pay attention to a simple readme file and a clear message on their PSP screen deserves to brick their PSP.

Having observed news regarding this update (3.52 m33-3) on other Sites and not having seen so much as a statement regarding it on this page they gain a lot of creditibility.

You seem to have modified the Update without testing it after wich led to uncounted bricks.
If you have tested the file before uploading its even worse.

After you recived the first negative feedback,
why didnt you take the file offline.
