Nintendo 64 Test Cartridge

These test cartridges were sent to official Nintendo service centers to be used to help diagnose problems with your N64 unit. These are very rare and you will not see another one for a VERY long time. The service centers were supposed to keep cartridges like this VERY confidential, but as the n64 was being replaced with the Gamecube, some of the employees took them home when they weren't supposed to, or occasionally collectors contacted the service centers and bought their old parts and supplies.

The 128mbit Z64 was released in late 1997 and uses Iomega Zip Disks to store binaries on. It has an OSD and in 1998 a 256mbit version was released. Later, N64 enthusiasts managed to get the unit working with a harddrive, resulting in much faster loading times.
