хехе) знал, что что-то не так...
недавно вышла такая вещь, называемая Open Remote Play, которая позволяла... использовать Remote Play на Mac или ПК. Правда для манипуляции требовалась псп с кастомной прошивкой, я хотел еще написать фак по этой теме, но поскольку моя псп вечно ходит где-то по рукам, я не смог это сделать.
Так вот. С новой прошивкой сони прикрыла лавочку. Цитирую...

The software upgrade has been described to us as “a huge overhaul”, and was compared to NXE “in some respects”.
The before-rumoured reputation system will be included. We were told that, “A reputation system in which users will be able to evaluate each other will be provided for… game applications.
“There will be a new API available to so the user can… allow users and also obtain users’ reputation.”
A “grief reporting system” will be included in the update, allowing gamers to take screens of offensive players and submit them to Sony. Apparently this is going to be similar to the LBP system, and is likely to include a text input.
Firmware 3.0 will allow patches will be downloaded in the background, meaning you’ll no longer have to sit staring at the screen while Random Shooter updates itself with a 500Mb fix.
There’s more. Simultaneous HDMI and digital optical outputting will be included in the release, a move likely to bring big smiles to the audio heads in the crowd.
We’ve been told a lot more on this, but you’ll just have to wait. Rest assured, 3.0 will be significant. Just remember where you heard it first.
Update: SCEA’s Patrick Seybold has told Joystiq: “Those rumors are completely untrue, nothing has been announced or confirmed for upcoming PlayStation firmware, and this is just wild speculation.”

Всю эту неделю в сети ходят слухи о том, что уже скоро появится полная совместимость с PS2 играми на PS3. И вот сегодня появился еще один слух, касательно данной новости. На немецком сайте Demon News,появился комментарий от одного из сотрудников Sony, что полная совместимость игр с PS2 появится для PS3 уже в течение следующих недель. Но как сообщает источник, это прошивка будет доступна вначале для американских обладателей PS3, а уже через некоторое время для остального мира.
Совместимость с PS2 будет добавлена в прошивке, а прошивки платными не бывают. Мое мнение - все будет бесплатно. К тому же я уже достаточно давно видел в американском сторе эмулятор PS2 игр (только для NTSC соответственно) и он был абсолютно бесплатным. Хотя у меня 60Гб версия, одна из первых, обратная совместимость у меня есть и мне беспокоиться не о чем =)

Кстать в 2.80 дейвствительно увеличилась скорость CPU, хотя они её сделали в 2.76! Но что-то я её там не заметил(в 2.76).
